The second generation of Connect Braille is a lightweight and compact 40-cell Braille display. The ergonomic 8-point keyboard and the practical operating elements such as control button, joystick and vibration signals ensure comfortable and quiet operation. The Connect Braille can be connected to a PC via USB or to a smartphone via Bluetooth. Weighing only 820 g and with a battery life of up to 40 hours, the Connect Braille can be used anywhere, even on the move.

    Universal compatibility


    The Basic Braille Plus is equipped with 40 flat piezo ceramic Braille cells. Due to the very flat Design, the Basic Braille Plus can be placed in front of a keyboard or a notebook.
     

    Integrated Braille input


    With the ergonomically arranged Braille keyboard and 3 function keys each side left and right the Basic Braille Plus offers just the extra comfort. The ergonomically arraigned 8 Dot Braille input keyboard plus space allows to quickly enter text in braille while connected via USB or Bluetooth. This Braille input keys can also be used for controlling your computer comfortably.
     

    Universal access


    Connected to the PC via USB, the Connect Braille is immediately ready for use thanks to HID technology, even without installing driver software.

    With the ergonomically designed Braille keyboard, you can enter Braille texts directly on the Connect. You can also connect a standard keyboard via USB.

    Through the Help Tech universal driver, Connect Braille is supported by all common screen readers.

     

    Smart Access

    In addition to USB-C, you can also connect the Connect Braille wirelessly via Bluetooth to up to 4 devices simultaneously. This gives you full access to iOS or Android devices such as smartphones and tablets. You can switch between the connected devices and the USB interface using the shortcut button.

    Practical controls

    The additional space bar, located centrally between the Braille keys, can be used to enter direct control commands to the computer. The Ctrl key stops the speech output, for example. Through left / right combinations of vibrations, the Connect Braille outputs discrete signals via two vibration transmitters.

    The perfect ergonomics

    The braille elements of the Handy Tech braille displays are concave and slanted backwards. This means that the tactile surface is ideally adapted to the scanning fingers and relieves the strain on your wrists when reading.
